Cotton
- Cotton can be washed either by machine or by hand. For optimal preservation and to prevent garments from shrinking, wash them in cold or Luke warm water.
- Use a mesh bag for delicate items to minimize snagging or twisting during machine cycles.
- Before washing, treat stains by gently applying a small amount of stain remover to the affected area. For darker pieces, conduct a patch test on an inside seam to ensure the color remains unaffected.
- Air dry cotton garments instead of using a tumble dryer, as the heat from dryers can lead to shrinkage. This not only helps maintain the fabric's quality but also conserves energy.
