Polyester & Linen
- Separate Colors: Separate dark and light-colored garments to prevent color bleeding during the wash.
- Use a Gentle Cycle: Set your washing machine to a gentle cycle to minimize agitation, which can cause excessive wear and tear on the fabric.
- Cold Water Wash: Use cold or lukewarm water to wash polyester and linen blends. Avoid hot water, as it can damage the fibers and cause shrinkage.
- Mild Detergent: Use a mild detergent that is suitable for delicate fabrics. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals that can weaken the fibers or affect the colors.
- Mesh Bag for Delicates: Place delicate items or those with embellishments in a mesh laundry bag to protect them during the wash cycle.
- Air Dry or Low Heat: Polyester can be sensitive to high heat, so it’s best to air dry your polyester and linen blend garments if possible. If using a dryer, use a low heat setting to prevent shrinking and damage.
- Ironing: If needed, iron on a low to medium heat setting while the fabric is slightly damp. Use a pressing cloth to protect the fabric and avoid direct contact with the iron.
- Storage: Store your polyester and linen blend garments in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and damage.
